Grades 6 through 8, with competition levels from school through national.
Does my child need to be on a school team?+
School teams are the usual route, but individual competitors can also qualify.
When should preparation start?+
Late summer or early fall, ahead of the school and chapter competition season.
How is this different from AMC 8 prep?+
MATHCOUNTS has distinct rounds including timed mental maths. There is topic overlap, but the formats differ.
