Key Topics in Our Literature in English Program
Literature asks students to explain how a writer creates an effect, and to prove it with the words on the page. That is a skill, and it is taught rather than absorbed.

What Is Literature in English?
A dedicated tutor, a plan around school, and patient practice - not generic worksheets.
-
01
Effect, Not Just Device
Naming a metaphor earns nothing. Explaining what it does to the reader is where the marks live.
-
02
Your Set Texts
We teach the actual texts your child studies rather than a generic reading list.
-
03
Unseen Practice Every Session
Unseen response is a skill that improves with volume, so it is practised regularly rather than saved for revision.

Questions parents ask
Common Questions, Answered
Can't find what you need? Our academic advisors are available in Singapore time.
Who is Literature tuition for?+
Secondary students taking O-Level Literature in English and JC students taking H1 or H2 Literature.
Can you teach our specific set texts?+
Yes. Tell us the novel, play or poems and we build sessions around them.
My child is a strong reader but writes weak essays. Can you help?+
Yes, and it is very common. Reading well and writing analytically are separate skills, and the second responds well to a taught structure.
How do you prepare for unseen questions?+
Regular timed practice with a repeatable method for approaching an unfamiliar text, so nothing depends on luck.
