Common Questions, Answered

My child cannot get their head around moles. What helps?+
Treating it as a counting unit rather than a formula. Once students see why it exists, stoichiometry stops feeling arbitrary - and this is the most common Level 2 sticking point we see.
Is organic chemistry hard at Level 2?+
It is mostly pattern recognition, and responds very well to structured practice. Students who find it hard usually have not yet seen the patterns.
Does Level 2 Chemistry lead to health sciences?+
It is generally a prerequisite for Level 3 Chemistry, which many health science and engineering pathways expect. Worth planning early.
