What does social sciences cover at primary level?+
Identity and culture, place and environment, continuity and change, and the economic world - taught through inquiry topics rather than as separate subjects.
Does it include Aotearoa New Zealand histories?+
Yes. It is part of the curriculum for all students and runs through our primary and intermediate programs.
How is it different from history?+
At primary level it is broader - geography, civics, economics and history together. Those separate into distinct NCEA subjects later.
