Why it works

What Is High School Chemistry?

Chemistry sits between physics and biology, and it punishes gaps: a student who never really understood the mole will struggle through stoichiometry, equilibrium and titration a year later. Ontario runs it as SCH3U and SCH4U; British Columbia as Chemistry 11 and Chemistry 12; Alberta as Chemistry 20 and Chemistry 30, with a diploma examination at the end. Our tutors find the gap that is actually causing the trouble and close it before moving on.

  • 01 Matched to the course code and provincial curriculum
  • 02 Same dedicated tutor for continuity
  • 03 Lab reports and unit tests supported alongside exam prep

How it works

From first call to steady progress

  1. 01

    Assessment

A short call to understand grade level, school topics, and goals.

  2. 02

    Tutor match

We pair your child with a specialist suited to their learning style.

  3. 03

    Live sessions

One-to-one on a shared whiteboard - clear, paced, interactive.

  4. 04

    Progress you can see

Regular updates so parents know what’s improving and what’s next.

Jaya's Academy helped my son improve his math grade from a C to an A. Amazing tutor and great experience.

Amanda T. Toronto, ON ★★★★★

Our daughter went from dreading homework to asking when her tutor session is. The patience and clarity made all the difference.

Rebecca A. Vancouver, BC

Sessions matched what he was learning in class. We finally understood where the gaps were - and how to close them.

Marc D. Calgary, AB

Common Questions, Answered

Can't find what you need? Our academic advisors are available across Canadian time zones.

Which chemistry courses do you cover?+
Ontario SCH3U and SCH4U, BC Chemistry 11 and Chemistry 12, and Alberta Chemistry 20 and Chemistry 30 - plus Grade 9 and 10 science where chemistry is taught as a strand.
Do you prepare students for the Alberta Chemistry 30 diploma exam?+
Yes. Diploma results count toward the final course mark, so we work on written-response and numerical response technique as well as content.
My teen is lost in stoichiometry. Where do you start?+
Usually further back than the current unit. Stoichiometry problems almost always break down at the mole concept or at balancing equations, so we test those first and rebuild from wherever the gap actually is.
Can you help with lab reports?+
Yes. Experimental technique, data analysis and formal write-ups are part of the program, since they carry real weight in senior chemistry marks.
