Why it works

What Are AP Exams?

Advanced Placement courses are College Board programs taken in Grades 11 and 12, examined each May and scored from 1 to 5. Canadian students take them for two reasons: a strong score can earn first-year university credit or advanced standing, and AP courses strengthen an application to selective programs at home and in the United States. Because AP is examined externally against published rubrics, preparation is very concrete - we work released papers and mark them the way readers actually do.

  • 01 Scored against official College Board rubrics
  • 02 Same dedicated tutor for continuity
  • 03 Revision planned backward from the May exam window

Questions parents ask

Common Questions, Answered

Can't find what you need? Our academic advisors are available across Canadian time zones.

Which AP subjects do you tutor?+
Calculus AB and BC, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics 1, 2 and C, and English Language and Literature. Tell us the subject and we will match a specialist tutor.
Do AP scores help with Canadian university admission?+
They can. Many Canadian universities grant first-year credit or advanced standing for strong AP scores, and AP coursework strengthens applications to competitive programs. Policies vary by institution, so check the specific university.
Can you help if my teen's school does not offer AP?+
Yes. Students can register to write AP exams independently, and we regularly prepare self-studying students from scratch across the full course content, not just exam technique.
When should preparation start?+
Exams are written in May. Students who begin in the autumn get steady coverage alongside their course; a focused push from February onward works well for students already comfortable with the content.
